It sure is cold down there…

Deep down under the surface of the Antarctica (600 ft) where no multicellular life is thought to exist, NASA scientists caught on tape today a Lyssianasid amphipod (a shrimp-like creature) which literally came swimming and parked itself on the camera’s cable.

They also pulled up a tentacle which they believe came from a jellyfish.  If anything, these discoveries seem to have sparked some thought as to how life could possibly survive under such harsh conditions.  To cite the old cliché, whether it be true or not: “life will always find a way”.
